Hey guys -

I spilt coffee on my laptop and now you can start it up but after the initial setup screen it goes all multicoloured and then blacks out. I've been told to cover it in rice and keep it in the airing cupboard to see if I can draw all the moisture out, but I was wondering if any of you had any more tips I could try.
I've put in a claim on my house insurance, as I'm really not expecting it to work again but anything you can think of will be tried in the meantime.
I'm doing this on my work computer, so I might not be able to reply but I will be writing down any suggestiong you lot have and trying them when I get home.

P.S. It's really boring at home without the internet. Today I had to watch Loose Women instead of The Walking Dead.

I've always assumed the rice method only works if you don't turn the device on while it is wet.
