Unable to fine masterfile.esm

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:17 am

Every time I try to load the Dawnguard.esm into the creation kit I get the following two error messages:

1.) "Masterfile: File.Update.esm is a higher version than this EXE can load."

Despite the fact that I don't have it checked and I have included --bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1-- into the SkyrimEditor.ini file. Then when when I click on "Ignore all" or whatever says. (All the files are there damn it.) I get the next error message:

2.) Unable to find masterfile Update.esm

Can someone please help me out here? Thank you.

It doesn't matter if you don't have it checked, Update.esm is a parent of Dawnguard.esm and therefore has to be loaded with it.

I know that now. I have only been playing around with CK for a couple of weeks now: And, have absolutely no knowledge of scripting or programming. I can build a basic CSS/HTML web page and that's it. And even then I am still a novice.
