Vampire attacks gone.

I recently had a glitch involving getting the alchemy lab for breezehome and found out that i had to unistall the dlc then purchase the lab and reinstall it. After i reinstalled dawnguard i noticed i havent had a vampire attack yet, but i might just be lucky.

So your staying, start a game with dawnguard, save, delete dawnguard, load up do stuff, save, reinstall dawnguard and it screws up the vampire spawning.... let us know what else seems to have changed.

So far still no vamps played all day to test it. The only thing that's happened is I was attacked by two gargoyles after I went to get zephyr. I will keep everyone posted. No update till tomorrow night due to work. But the gargoyles showed up in wild not the ruins.

Damn, I hope this is not true. We need more vampire attacks. Punishment for the players who wanted stage 4 attacks gone.

Have to disagree. I'm still steamed that they removed Stage 4 attacks, but from what I have heard, the attacks got way out of hand.

I'll be waiting for when it comes to the PS3.

Yes, I know. But it is fair. Everything is balanced now.

If vampire attacks are removed and no stage 4 attacks against the player is left the way it is, I will get mad! I will http://i.imgur.com/je1ad.gif!(included with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3097unnY95g&t=1m8s)

Everything is not balanced in some games. The vampire attacks, as they are, may be buggy in some games with spawn rate and stacking.

I don't think it has to be 'remove the attack' or 'keep them exactly how they are'. I just think it needs to be fixed.

Also. Vampire attacks at stage four = problem for the player, fun, roleplay. Vampire attacks in cities = problem for npcs, rarely problem for player. Possibly buggy.

I don't get them anywhere, not a single vampire or Dawnguard attack since the completion of the DLC.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it but...

- DG character, gets them very often and almost every fast travel.
- Vamp character, I had one vamp attack on Riften (before starting DLC), reloaded at least 20-30 times trying to save everyone, ended up losing the guy who moves there after "Book of Love". Now it's nothing but DG attacks.

I don't mind the DG attacks because they don't target anything other than me and npc's don't even seem to notice them. This is how vamp attacks should have been. Player targeted only...

So, long story short... Maybe we could do some testing to see if choosing sides and quest progression have anything to do with it.
just an idea.

Beat both questlines with different characters, played about 20-30 hours after beating dawnguard and still no vampire attacks with either.

Was getting them about every five minutes without fail before, and during the Dawnguard questline. Many NPCs were rendered into ashes. Many reloads were done.

After killing Harkon and going on a radiant quest spree, though..

I've seen them in a town - Riften - once.

And I will get attacked by a 'Master or two and a thrall once a week. Maybe.

I posted pretty much exactly that in a recent similar thread, and my save's hour count (Currently at 45 hours after Harkon's death and doing about 15 Dawnguard radiants.) has only gone up since then. The attacks have remained the same.

However, friends of mine report other happenings. One never had any problems to begin with, and another was as bad-off as I, only they didn't stop after killing Harkon. Seems to flucuate from player to player. Odd.

You're wishful thinking TC.

I uninstalled + reinstalled the DLC just now, took me under 5 minutes to get an attack in Dawnstar.

Well that's probably because people have been exaggerating the attacks, I've had two attacks in 30 hours of dawnguard.

Nah most likely you fast travel a lot. In reverse of dragons, fast travelling to a town actually prevents you getting an attack as far as I can tell.

I've had I dunno, maybe 10-15 attacks in towns and cities. Only ever gotten em from approaching an unwalled city, walking into a walled city, or otherwise changing cells inside a walled city, like say entering a building and going back out into the city.

Seriously really won't mind the vampire attacks if random NPCs that I do actually need (for example shop keepers etc) don't get involved in the stupid conflict -___-.

Im actually really worried about installing this dlc because of this.

Ummm... No. I fast travel a ton (as I have limited time to play) and I get an attack every 3rd or so fast travel to towns when I first started DG. After recruiting it seems to have gone down some. I am unsure if this affected it but after doing 20 or so radiant quests I rarely get town attacks.

If this is the case I kinda like it as the reason you go to DG is because the vampire attacks get "out of hand" then after bolstering DGs help then it drastically goes down.

Or make their response timer much shorter. Like 14 days or so.
