NPC Eyes are not the color they are supposed to be in game

Hello all

I know this isnt a major thing but it bugs me just the same. I was running around in game, on a clean save, checking out things on my mod when I noticed the NPCs eyes were different. Every NPC I made in the mod shows their eye color to be either ice blue, grey or amber. When I look in the Actor window under the Char Gen Parts tab for each NPC, it says the eye color that I originally selected but in game they are different than that. They also show in the preview window as the color I selected but not in game. I tried to change the eye color in the Actor window, save and go look, but nothing changes in game.

Anyone have this problem before?

Many thanks for any responses.

Could it be that the eyes you are selecting in the CK aren't playable by the races you are trying to apply them to?

No, I do not have any eye mods and I am using the color that comes up in the selection for that race. Like most of my Nords have HumanEyesDarkBlue or HumanEyesLightBlue - not the HumanEyesIceBlue and definitely not the HumanEyesAmber color. I did not pick amber color for any of my characters except for the Khajiit and their eyes look normal as do the elves. Just the human's eyes are different from what I picked and most show that amber color or ice blue.

The strangest thing, to me, is that I cannot change them to another eye color than what they are displaying in game. The CK displays a different eye color in the preview pane but it does not show the same in game at all.

Are you editing Vanilla NPCs? If so, you will need to make sure your mod has priority by placing it at the bottom of your load order.

Also, are these custom textures that you made or are you simply pointing the eye at a different texture.

Finally, have you tried a program like SkyEdit? Just wondering if the mods it generate work? If so, maybe you could open up the esp it generates and look at what it does.
