Where is the Blood Fountain? Red Water skooma den?

I thought the blood fountain was pretty - until I drank from the damn thing and was told I had drunk somehting along the lines of tainted ancient blood. Even as a vampire that didn't sit well with me and I didn't think it was so pretty afterwards.

There is a back story, I forgot it though, something about ruins and stuff.

So, is the blood in the blood fountains the same blood that's being recycled over and over? If so, that's pretty disgusting, even for a vampire. After a few days that blood would taste pretty bad.

It's magic water, literally. In the quest he says he wishes it was blood but it is just liquid with magical properties.

By the way, the Forgotten Vale is ugly as hell. The Soul Cairn and the Blood Fountain are truly marvelous.

Serena is a Vampire, so her twisted sense of beauty could be blood spurting out of the ground. It is all in the eye of the beholder.
