Serana Marriage Dialogue?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 2:37 pm

This is my second playthrough with Serana where I was not already married. In my current playthrough we are up to the Forgotten Vale, yet I have still not had Serana bring up the subject of marriage while wearing an Amulet of Mara. I pause to speak to her every time we enter some new cell, but still nothing. (BTW, she has a ton of dialogue that I missed previously because I didn't speak to her enough. Half the DLC must be just her dialogue!)

Do I need to be a vampire to get this dialogue to trigger? Are there certain dialogue paths you have to choose to get to this option? I would very much like to hear her little speech.

You can't marry Serana. People have been talking about it for quite some time.

Thank you for yelling at someone who tried to provide information.
Let's try it this way: Bethesda did not include the dialogue.
Better?

They obviously did include dialogue about marriage since numerous people have mentioned her talking about avoiding temples when the subject comes up. Also something about it is her, not the player.

I want to hear this little dialogue.

You must complete the questline in order to ask her to marry you, but she politely refuses, saying that you're great and all but it is not meant the Dragonborn and her to be married due to her uneasy history and she does not like temples.

I was hoping to listen to that dialogue line and I tried talking to her after every DLC quest. Even after wiping out the DG, I never got that line.
Also, I didn't get the dialogue line if you try to give the bow to Harkon and Sarana says that it is an idiotic decision, even though my friend did.
Maybe some of her dialogue is bugged?

Well, I just completed the quest line and still nothing. I get options for turning me into a vampire and using her blood on some arrows, but nothing about marriage or the like. Do you perhaps need to complete the main Skyrim quest?

By now I am just frustrated I haven't got to hear this little dialogue. I think I am going to just go ahead and marry Lydia. She looks really hot in Foresworn armor.

You couldn't have pestered her about getting rid of vampirism I think. If you angered her at any time during the quest, she won't have the dialogue for marriage. Same goes for turning her into a human.

I actually just same across this last night. Like most of her dialogue options you have to be on her good side to get them(chose all the right responses). Then you have to be un-married, and be wearing an amulet of mara. This makes me wonder though if you are able to marry her if you Choose ALL of the right responses hmmmmmmm…

You can marry a women. But like the men, only certain people are able to be. And only after you befriend them
