Didn't think I could kill Harkon like that.

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:03 pm

So I always wondered what would happen if I killed Harkon while he was talking right before the final battle. So last night I loaded up a previous save to right before and while he was talking went in to sneak mode, took out Auriel's Bow and went around him and took a shot.

I somehow killed him in one hit from the sneak attack and I can't stop laughing. One second he is talking to Serana, the next he is teleporting around like a madman then appearing in front of the Altar and dying.

I didn't think I could do that. To be honest I found it hilarious (I have a strange sense of humour)

I killed him in one quick hacking spree. He died leaving a red force field. Unfortunately I was unable to loot him but for a long time I had a large red bubble in front of Molag Bal's shrine to stand on.

I did the same thing, but, once I launched the arrow and it hit him, my xbox froze. So, I reloaded and waited for him to shut up before I killed him the second time.

My god, that would be the most epic possible ending to that fight. I'm making it my personal mission to do this once Dawnguard's out on PC. Diablerie, anyone?

Some of my characters don't have time for his crap. I was very happy to realize I could attack him outright and skip five minutes of monologue.

Damn, now i'm torn between this epic way of giving him an undignified but hilarious death or a fitting end of draining him.

That just ruins the fun! :swear:

But I must say, when I make my Dunmer Nightblade, I am definitely going to try this.

I did Van Helsing and went in with a crossbow then turn into a werewolf in the middle of the battle.

I should try that, but werewolf form is squishy against high level enemies.

Lord Harkon is leveled. He is normally same level as you.

That's the problem with the Werewolf. You're extremely vulnerable at high levels.

And yet I manage to slaughter every single guard in all of the cities as a level 81 werewolf and on Master... And slaughtered a few Legendary Dragons as a werewolf..

Lord Harkon is really patheticly easy as a werewolf too.. Mainly cause he doesn't use melee that much. There are ways around the whole 'weak defense' thing.
