At the end of the questline you'll be able to blot out the sun that lasts for 12 hours. The sun will be normal again the next day.

Cheers thanks

Be warned that blocking out the sun can have unintended consequences. Do not block out the sun in any city or village and then go into a building. Blocking out the sun causes vampires and their death hounds to spawn across Skyrim. If you go into a buildingin a city and then go back outside of it, you will normally find the gates of said city with a couple of vampires and death hounds who will obliterate your NPCs unless you can stop them quickly enough. My recommendation is that you tolerate the sun so long as you are in a city.

Nah, just for the day if you shoot a blood arrow at the sun.
