Not sure whether this is in the right place or not

Have not played for a few weeks, well since the latest update so today I thought I would have few hours and went to Riften and and challenged Hofgrir Horse-Crusher to a fist fight and after a few seconds he got his knife out and attacked me with that so I am wondering if anyone knows what the problem is. I am on the PC version.

Probably some mod running a "cloak" spell on you.

Did you insult him? That might be the case..

The poison aura is activ in a brawl.... and counts as weapon attack.

Would just like to clarify, that the mod doing this isn't malicious, it's a commonly used way of applying scripts to the player, instead of it being in a "hidden quest".

Brawbug plugin will make these "spells" "magic effects" or what have you, not apply as an "attack", thus your brawling buddy won't curse you for cheating (using magic, technically) and pull a real weapon on you.

I've had this happen to me on the xbox version.

1st time i reloaded,because my save wasn't that far back.
2nd time i ran away far enough so i could wait. Waited 24 hours went back and we continued the fight.

I think it's a bug / glitch (whatever it's called) as I've had it a couple of times with different characters. I go back to save and it's fine

Well thanks for the answers but nothing seems to work I even started a new character, I suppose my only option now is to uninstall every mod and see if that is the problem
