Need help with roleplaying

Post » Fri Nov 23, 2012 3:54 am

I want to roleplay. I want to have as much fun as I had on the day of release. I want to experience Skyrim AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
But, it all seems so familiar. I mean, I know the map pretty good, but I just don't have a nice experience with new characters.. I don't know if it's about me or about the builds.
I love magic, just made a new character. A mage. But I don't know.. I just don't know how to start my experience.. I don't think roleplaying is something for me..

If you don't think it's for you then maybe it isn't. However if you are interested in Roleplaying I would start by making a backstory for your character. This allows you to get inside the mind of your character and act the way you think he or she would.

1. Make that backstory.
2. Pretend like you know nothing of Skyrim. Don't go to X because Y is there. Go where your character takes you.

My current mage ended up joining the thieves guild early on. He was trying to avoid the Thalmor(backstory) and keep a low profile, a series of quests eventually landed him in Riften, and then he was a thief. He didn't join the mages college until he had a destruction of 75 and there was no one to teach him incinerate.
