I'm not sure character building is the proper wording for it so I added "character equipping" to the subject.

Here's the situation: One of my friends and I are both frequent players of Skyrim. We discussing a few various items and pieces of equipment that we wish were in the game that would be conducive to our preferred play styles.

I got to thinking about stuff that might already be in the game that would function for the types of characters we both like playing and wondering what missed. In addition, I need some ideas for some enchanted armor sets.

My character is somewhat of a "stealth mage" character by design. If there was an unarmed skill tree in the game, I'd use it. The basic "combat" skills trees are the bottom of the list for me. I use them but prefer the options in the other areas. I use the enchanting and alchemy skills like mad so a few sets of custom named armor would be ideal (if I could come up with names for the sets). And since there isn't an unarmed tree, I will use the one handed Blades sword or a Dragonbone dagger and bow. My idea would be to enchant them with flame enchantments but I need custom names for them.

My friend is more of a combat and stealth character. He was trying to go more the route of a ranger-type character like Aragorn in LOTR. He is the opposite of me about utilizing the alchemy and enchanting skills but will use enchanted weapons when he finds them. He has mentioned several times about the lack of hooded cloaks in the game but I am not sure if he has combined hoods with other armor as I have started doing because of the ugly helmets.

Basically:
I need ideas for custom armor and weapons.
An ebony set.
A daedric set
Dawnguard heavy set
Dragonscale light armor set
Renaming the Blades armor set.

A Dragonbone sword and dagger
A bow with flame enchantments and maybe a paralyze effect on the bow too.
A couple of ideas for enchanting Blades swords. Definitely one with a fire enchantment.

As for what enchantments I prefer. Fortify Unarmed, Fortify Pickpocket, Sneak, Lockpicking (maybe), Destruction, Carry Weight, Heath Regen. I use one of the mage hoods to increase my health if I am using an armor set because there are not that many decent looking unenchanted hoods in the game.

He needs: ideas for equipment for a "ranger" or "Aragorn" type character. I don't know what armor he prefers but I do know he likes the Two-Handed weapons and the Bows primarily.

Suggestions?

My second character has gone for a ranger (based on Aragorn) as well. I disagree with not using alchemy though as it is a very viable option for rangers and is even used by Aragorn in the first film. I know you're looking for suggestions in general so I thought i'd pop that in for your friend
