No, the Dwemer are gone for good. They aren't coming back. The Dwemer ruin in the trailer that wasn't there in MW Solstheim can best be explained with this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuinsForRuinsSake.

Or one of the Telvanni dragged it over. Or maybe it's Dagoth Ur, and it got ejected from RM and landed there. Okay that's a bit silly but yeah.

It could also be recent excavation. There was a Dwemer ruin in an eggmine in Morrowind.

I hope they don't bring them back but who knows. Personally I think the Dwemer was done to death. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Maybe it was buried, and the crazy waves that followed Red Mountains eruption cleared away the soil. It was near the shore wasn't it?

Im pretty sure people said the same thing about the falmer. And dawnguard added the original last two falmer..they where tall ..real tall but apparently the falmer never actually left.the same might be said for the dwemer they could be anywhere. The story about them never really gave much to go on. of what happens to them.maybe so when beth whants them to come back.

The diffrence between the Dwemer and the Falmer is that we know what happened to the Dwemer, we have known for years.

Worth noting that we still don't "know" what happened to the Dwemer. It's all just theory and speculation. Even the last dwemer admits that he doesn't know for sure. We have another theory in skyrim thanks to the quest with Arniel. I don't think we'll ever know for certain.

Ah. I will tell you the truth, because you will believe none of it. The Brass God is Anumidum, the Prime Gestalt. He is also called the divine skin. He was meant to be used many times by our kind to transcend the Gray Maybe.

The first to see him was the Shop Foremer, Kagrenac of Vvardenfell, the wisest of the tonal architects [Mechanists - MN] Do not think as others do that Kagrenac created the Anumidum for petty motivations, such as a refutation of the gods. Kagrenac was devoted to his people, and the Dwarves, despite what you may have read, were a pious lot-he would not have sacrificed so many of their golden souls to create Anumidum's metal body if it were all in the name of grand theater. Kagrenac had even built the tools needed to construct a Mantella, the Crux of Transcendence. But, by then, and for a long time coming, the Doom of the Dwarves marched upon the Mountain and they were removed from this world.

Okay. So now everyone can stop posting about where the Dwarves went. I TOLD YOU EIGHTY YEARS AGO.

Filthy with it, I am.

The Dwemer got Numidiumed, thier entire race was transformed into the brass skin of a giant robot.

It doesnt matter what the lore says if bethesda wants to bring them back then thats exactly what there going to do. If they do then im behind them 100%. So far all the dlc haven't really been intresting i hope dragonborn will have a more morrowind feel then a nord one.

The Dwemer are scrap metal, as the Words of Power up there said. It's not likely there'll be any of them in Dragonborn, very not likely.
With the exception of Yagrum Bagarn.

The closest to a return we might see are some of those Dwemer Ghosts or Yagrum making an appearance. Even that is kinda effy.

I doubt we'd see spectrals of them unless it was like the orange ghosts like in Deepest Fathoms mission or the Labyrinthian. Only person to see them was the Court Mage in Morthal and that was because he was traveling across the planes.
