I just suffer reading most of the complaints about ESO on this forum. Mainly boils down to, what "THEY" don't like and yet offer noting in return. They just want to rant on about the same old complaint. Move on, get over it or go away.
Major complaint DAoC 3 Factions - It's a war based mmo concept. They have given you their idea, and it can be backed up by Lore. You just don't want to accept it, because you want it your way. Yet, you offer no other intelligent war base mmo concept. Ideals based? Sure, how would you structure that "territory wise"? Chocolate, Strawberry, White milk factions. If you like which milk, where do you fight from? Oh, no open world pvp, just cyrodiil. Oh okay, so you want to walk and chat with any milk drinker, but if you go into this specific area, I have to kill you? Really, how does that make sense? No war outside specific boundaries?
You want a straight conversion of TES, as long as it fits "YOUR" needs. You want World Exploration in an MMO because of playing a single player for 20 years. You don't support the racial alliance choices, yet TES games racial choice has little merit on the game other than "dialogue".
4E 5-6 — Red Mountain erupts; Vvardenfell is destroyed.
In Vivec's absence, the Ministry of Truth becomes unstable. Vuhon creates an Ingenium that uses at first dozens of dying souls, then a small number of living ones to stabilize the rock. The soul of Sul's wife Ilzheven was among them. In a fight to free her, the Ingenium is destroyed and the rock crashes into the city of Vivec with all the energy it originally had. The impact causes Red Mountain to erupt and destroys the entire island of Vvardenfell, as well as causing massive destruction to the rest of the province.
The Argonians invade southern Morrowind after the eruption of Red Mountain and cripple House Telvanni.
Skyrim offers Solstheim to the Dunmer.

As far as I can understand reading about "RIFTS" is that their "war concept" is based off server choice.
- The PvE Ruleset is a server where a player may only attack another player if the subject of the attack has manually flagged themselves as a PvP player by typing /PVP in their chat window. If they have flagged themselves for PVP their player tag will be displayed as a yellow tag. You may attack a yellow flagged player which in turn automatically flags you as a PvP player. A PvP player may un-flag, you will not be un-flagged until you have waited a set period of time.
- A player may flag themselves for PvP anywhere in the game world without restriction.
- As such, on a PvE server, it is possible for Open World PvP to occur, but only between players that have knowingly flagged for PvP.
- There are PVP quests on a PvE server and NPC's can be attacked and towns can be controlled.
You've set your mind on what an TES mmo should be, then when it's finally offered you are not happy because it's not your way.
