Quick Question: Controller with PC

Post » Mon Nov 26, 2012 8:57 am

So, I got the Steam version of Skyrim during the sale and have no intention of ever looking back, heh.

The only thing is, I do prefer using a controller to the keyboard and mouse. Just personal preference and years of playing Oblivion and Skyrim on console. That's not the issue, per se, I already have a controller adaptor ordered and whatnot, so that's fine.

My question is does the game automatically detect when a controller is plugged in and adapt the controls accordingly? I've seen the 'Xbox Controller' tickbox in the menu, so does that automatically adapt? And, finally, I assume you can still use the console commands and keyboard if you need to while the controller is in use, right? It's not a one or the other situation?

Thanks in advance

If you are going to use the Xbox360 Controller, yes, the game recognize it automatically! (Obvioulsy after the installation of the xbox360 Driver/Software)
The commands configuration is really good. I really love to play Skyrim with Keyoboards and Mouse (And now i'm playing it this way) but i started playing it(On a 32" Full HD) with the Xbox360 Gamepad and it was awesome!

So, Enjoy!
