Can't save game

Post » Sun Nov 25, 2012 10:29 pm

Just got Skyrim via Steam yesterday (24th of november).

The save game feature isn't working - neither autosave or manual.
In the save game folder ...\My Games\Skyrim\Saves folder the would-be savegames show up as .ess.tmp files, all 0kb in size.

I tried just removing the extra "tmp" extension (even though the 0kb filesize sort of told me it wouldn′t work). That makes the save game turn up in the load game screen but it does not load, it just freezes the game.

Iv'e found a number of other people with this issue when googling, but no working solution.

Are you aware of and working on this issue?

I hope so, cause I REALLY want to throw myself into this game, but until the save games work I can't.

Should be an issue with the permission.
You need to right click on the "Saved Games" folder and give permission to users and system to "modify" files because probably you have only the permission to Read them.
Is your account an Administrator account or a Local one (I mean the Windows 7 one)?
Are you using Windows 7 i guess.
