One unique application could be a new form of control for systems in our house through an object we carry with us. It could act on a wireless network within the house, letting us turn on lights, the TV, switch on a stove, etc... with hand gestures vs pulling the control device out.

Playing the devils advocate though, I found the 3min mark demonstration disturbing with "Training" children on the proper way to eat.
