First Gaming rig, wanted to know if it'll run Skyrim (Or if

Post » Wed Nov 28, 2012 12:35 am

Recently, I decided to make myself a Gaming PC. There's a ton of free MMOs and stuff I wanted to play, along with other games like Skyrim. A friend told me that a computer that can run Skyrim on high settings will be pretty well off. I've never actually had a gaming PC before, but I've heard that it's best to make your own. I decided 'Sure.' and looked online for parts people recommended and followed a few guides and have come up with a list of parts that I thought were okay. Also, I'm trying to stay below $1000.

I know I need a PSU, too, but I'm not sure how many Watts I'd need. From a site I checked, around 600 might do, but I want to hear what you guys have to say or suggest me change in my build. I'm looking to play Skyrim on at least HIGH. Ultra would be nice if I could manage it with under $1000.

Thanks in advance.

Total: $948.56

That should Ultra just about any game you play on it.

Edit: And you did your shopping well. Lots of people pay double the amount for the same rig, or even worse.

Okay, cool. And do you know how many Watt PSU I should aim for?
