Until anything is confirmed by Intel itself, I call this one a baseless rumor. The reason? It's just too stupid of a move.

I don't call some random exec from their Chinese branch confirmation.

This has been floating around in my feeds for a while now and I've ignored it for a few reasons:

1) It doesn't make sense. Why the hell would you design your hardware in a way that limits your market by not providing the very hardware that people need? A competitor will easily take that market away from them
2) There are no facts that have yet to present themselves, just people saying stuff
3) The low-power market is already dominated by ARM chips. This move would thus be suicide for Intel.
