Hi guys, been looking around the forums and haven't found something similar so I'll try to explain as much as I can.

I've been using Fraps to check my FPS and I'm getting a solid 60 fps (except for the usual microstutter that cause my fps to go from 59 to 61 real fast)
Since 1.8, or since Steam file conversion, I'm getting weird lag / fps drop from 60 to around 48-50 after loading a map (like getting out of a bandit's stronghold) and it lags like hell
The only way to stop that is to restart the game.

So far, it happened on my desktop and on my laptop so it's either AMD driver related or Steam / Beth's side.

Just for some info :

Alienware R3, i7 - 3,40ghz.16 Gig Ram, AMD Radeon 6950 en CrossFireX.
Laptop is a M17X with 8 gig ram and Radeon 7900 series, can't remember
Dawnguard, Hearthfire and HD official mod are installed

Tried FPS limiters, clean install, no mods, every settings I could.
