Character customisation and end game raiding

Post » Thu Nov 29, 2012 1:55 pm

Hello there,

I am unsure whether this topic has been posted about before, I did have a good look through the forum but was unable to find anything valuable. I guess this topic is mainly aimed at Bethesda and Zenimax but obviously anyone elses input is important

Firrstly, as a disclaimer. I am an ex wow player, so some of my questions will be linked to WoW's gameplay and features simply because it was a game I used to enjoy....until MOP rolled in with its daily quest festival. I assure you, I'm not asking for a wow clone, im simply expressing my interest in whether some very cool aspects from wow may be used as an inspiration

My first question is in regards to character customisation, do you people think that some form of race change or appearence chang feautres will be applied to the game? Im not saying it will be services you pay for, because in my opinion £15 for a race change is a tad much  but nontheless I still found myself doing so because it game my personal view of playing WoW a change.

Secondly, according to the introduction video, there will be a lot of endgame content. My question is, do people think it will be more than just five man dungeons and the giant pvp battles?

I am by no means saying that TESO should incorporate these features or style of gameplay, its just something I've been wondering. I am someone who plays to defeat end game content because that what I enjoy the most, the competetive nature for sure. No matter what, I will still be playing the game upon release because it looks awesome

Apologies if I missed other forum posts regarding these matters, any links to those threads would be appreciated.

Cheers

as far as race change, i guess there's a small chance. but, it would probably be a ways into the game (possibly years). most games don't offer that service.

endgame, yes they've told us there will be "Raids" where multiple groups will be needed to complete content.

Thanks for the reply, do you think raiding content will be fairly competetive?

Raids are larger instances than dungeons that require more than just five people to overcome an objective such as a boss.

well mmo's usually have "dungeons" which require a group to complete. most dungeon groups in mmo's consist of 5 people. 1 tank (damage taker) 3 dps (damage dealers) and 1 healer (heals the group). a "Raid" is a dungeon that takes multiple dungeon groups to complete. so instead of 5 people it would take 10, 15, 25, or more.
