Souldn't the Empire start to rebuild Helgen and restore a crucial point to control Skyrim ?

I still hope in a new DLC from Bethesda which restore, or start a rebuilding of Helgen
what do you think about ?

Apparently there is speculation that they don't because it might cause bugs and glitches in the game during the opening sequence, which can cause problems in future playthroughs.

I actually prefer Helgen being left as a Bandit Lair for the rest of the game.

I'd much prefer they rebuild Winterhold into an actual City.

The Empire no longer controls my Skyrim.


I think no matter how the CW turns out, after it's over it would be nice to see signs that Helgen is being reoccupied and rebuilt by someone other than bandits. It's a border fortress so it would make sense for either side to want to get it up and running again.

When looking at how Helgen was i wonder if the fort overlooking Dawnstar was another Imperial garrison in a similar way like Helgen was used. My reasoning is that in the book about the snow elves attacking Helgen it mentions Dawnstar as an Imperial garrison town (city?).

Maybe the legion at Dawnstar relocated to Solitude.


^ Yh. Definitely this. Winterhold is such an Important city to the Nords (forget the Imperials) to be left to ruin. I wouldn't oppose Helgen being made back into a fortified town for Imperials / Stormcloaks but Winterhold should be done first. Winterhold city is supposedly the capital of an entire hold
