Staves/Staffs: To allow the staffs for both magic use and melee use, like in Morrowind. Where you can block with the staff and attack with it, or choose to use the magic that is attached with the weapon?
Also, Each staff could have the option of one handed use or two handed use: Depending on your proficiency with the weapon and your strength, Your attacks would be slower with weaker damage, if using a two handed staff with one hand, unless your skills with the weapon type are high enough and you have enough strength.
Mathematically; If Strength and [that weapon proficiency] is higher then 60, There is no attack-speed and Damage reduction. For Each 10% below 60, [in Strength and that weapon skill], The Attack-speed with that weapon and damage calculated, is reduced by 5%.
This way, if you are proficient in both Staves and in Dual-wielding, You can have a two-handed Staff in one hand, and another weapon of choice in the other hand, or a shield.

This idea of wielding a two-handed weapon in one hand and it's attack-speed and damage calculated by your level of strength and that weapon proficiency would be attributed to all two-handed weapon types.

Hand-to-Hand: Using hand to hand while wielding a weapon at the same time? For instance; Would it be possible while you have a sword, staff, or any weapon in general, to allow you to punch an NPC or creature with a hand that has no weapon or shield equipped?
Another type of combat interest is possible punching variations? Such as straight punch, a low punch, and uppercut? Or hitting with the elbow? And Damage accordingly, based off of a hand-to-hand skill and your strength and speed.
Grappling or Throws: Perhaps would it be possible to implement grabs and throws, that would push back an enemy slightly, stun them, or knock them onto the ground?
Kick variations: Or perhaps different types of kicks, such as straight or [sparta type kick], low sweep, and high kick? Each have a different damage ratio and effect?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Less Rag doll effects: More realistic Death animations and more realistic, fluid, fighting animations? Or more realistic effects?
More Kill Cam Death scenarios.
And NPC or even creature deaths animations shortened or lengthened, [with a different animation] based on your stats and what weapon you used, and the kill-cam style or them used. Perhaps even integrate kill-cam death animations into the game without the killcam?
