So much potential...

The first Dragonborn has SOOOOOOOOOOO much potential to be a awesome villian, as good as Dagoth Ur.

Like Bethesda could make him as your shadow, being an anti-thesis to your ideology, he can be a tragic figure, falling to darkness tragically. He could be actually good, but pursing radically methods for a good result.

I seriously hope Bethesda didn't mess this up, they made massive improvements writing wise with Dawnguard, lets hope this ends up somewhere near Obsidan quality.

hopefully he doesn't have transparent motivation, something deeper than "imma kill you and steal your power mwhahaha"

I'd like him as a hero character himself, gaining power to stop the world eater, or the damn elves (gotta imagine the guy should be fairly elf racist being an ancient nord...probably), or only one of you being able to live to stop ol' herma mora from doing bad things

PFFT, Lets hope we dont get another Silver hand...(Dawnguard had good villians, arch curate and Lord Harkon were tragic figures)

Miraak is your evil clone who slept with your girlfriend while you worked on the maternity word. Meanwhile, your best friend gets cancer and gives his dying wish to Miraak mistakenly, leaving you to wallow in your misery and shout incomprehensible Spanish towards the audience.

I would not get my hopes that high. But it will be good enough for me if this is not a copy/pasta of Highlander....and may the spirits preserve us from Highlander 2.

I thought the confrontation with Arch-Curate Vyrthur was a good start... I'm hoping they build on that more. The cinematical approach mixed with multiple layers of confrontation would do well.

He still dies in 5 seconds, but I get your point and approve.

I loved his final quote, it touched me,

"What have I done...Auriel...Forgive me."

Dawnguard was definitely an improvement on pseudo-cinematic npc to npc interactions. And also had boss fights that felt more like boss fights (not just you fighting someone with uber stats). I hope they keep improving in that direction.
