This is Dragonborn not Bloodmoon!

Post » Fri Nov 30, 2012 10:37 pm

I would really like people to stop asking for things from Morrowind to be included in Dragonborn. This is a DLC for Skyrim not another one for Morrowind, the third game and forth games have had their time and they have gone now. Dragonborn is a brand new DLC coming out which involves Solstheim, it just happens to be the setting for the two games that doesn't mean your going to get to fight Hircine, or your going to get all the spells and armor from Morrowind or your going to get to see The Nerevarine wondering around.

I just wish that people could appreciate Skyrim and Dragonborn for what they will become and not what you want them to be. Morrowind is ancient history (in both real life and in game time) and I think it's about time that new DLC got it's time.

I really dont see what kind of right you have to tell everyone here to stop talking about Morrowind, its a DLC set in Solstheim, an island that belongs to Morrowind and by that part of the province of Morrowind.
Listen, i know where you are coming from, you don't like Morrowind fans, but that doesn't give you any right telling us how to appreciate the serie and the DLC.

I understand what you're getting at, but maybe you should lighten up a little bit.
I don't want to start an argument or anything (that s**t can get CRAZY), but you have to realize that nostalgia is undeniably important to a lot of devoted fans who have been with this series even going back to Arena.
I myself joined the series at Morrowind, and while I absolutely LOVE the innovations and new designs/styles of Skyrim, I still dig being able to see nods to great experiences I had in the past.
I am totally pumped for Dragonborn being a DLC unlike any DLC we have ever had before. There is no doubt that it will stand completely distinct from Bloodmoon (it's not being called Bloodmoon 2.0 after all).
Anyways, take it easy. Everyone has varying degrees of nostalgia and what it means to them. Please don't try and ruin it for some of these people.

There is appreciating and then there is just taking the crap, Morrowind has a good fan base for what I thought wasn't that great a game and people are just letting their love for it blind them to what could be a much better DLC. Solstheim might be a bit of Morrowind but it's not going to be based in that region, it's still Skyrim afterall. I wish people would keep that in mind.

I played Morrowind and I liked it well enough but there was things that annoyed me about it and while I liked the story in it, the story doesn't save a game though and while Hircine is one of my fave Daedric Lords I think this DLC will be better.

You shouldn't care about how other people see/get excited for a game. If you don't let Morrowind BLIND you, then that's great. It's not blinding the rest of us.

You might as well have said that leading up to the release of Skyrim, people shouldn't have been excited for it because they loved Oblivion or Morrowind etc.

An expansion like this is designed to give long-time players throwbacks. I don't want everything to be rehashed content, but asking for some nods to the past is reasonable.
