So I built a house called Lakeview Manor. It has many lockable doors, safes and chests. I looked through my inventory. There were no keys for any of these items. Apparently I am living in an unsecured house into which bandits, thieves and assassins can come while we sleep, steal everything and kill us all. What's to stop my staff or kids robbing me blind?

The question has to be, why was I forced to find all that corundum to make locks which in the end are non-functional?

Is there an explanation? Something I've missed?
