Does anyone use this race. I am planning too, but not really sure what route people find they are best for, ie magic or more combat skills?

I would just like to know about people Dark elf characters really and what they did with them.

Racial bonuses are just that. Dunmer are suited to be any class (lore wise) warriors, thieves, mages or any combination of the three. Personally I usually play them as assassins (Morrowind and Oblivion) and went more Combat oriented in Skyrim and rolled him as a Mercenary. Really just pick what you want.

The Dunmer are my second favorite race, after Imperials

I still see it from the oblivion perspective, where Morrowind and Cyrodiil loved each other and both Dunmer and Imperials commanded great respect for one and other.

their combat is good, and they have decent magic stats as well. I use both magic and warrior, as Dunmer are skilled in both. Also they make good thieves/assassins.

My Dunmer witch is basically a sneaky destruction mage (with a preference for fire) who also uses one-handed (daggers).
