Werebear Mechanics

Post » Mon Dec 03, 2012 4:06 am

Note: I know we see them in the Game-jam video, but this is just mechanics we would like to see them have.

If Werebears are brought into the game, how would you want them to work? Personally i don't want a re-skinned werewolf, i don't think we should have to eat corpses to gain in power, bears represent that natural, calm nature vibe, and i shouldnt have to use the bear form as a rauaging monster if i don't want to.

Werebears should walk on all fours, i know Werewolves can walk on two, but bears are far too heavy surely. They should be able to sprint, but not as fast as werewolves, and hit harder, but again, not as fast. However they should work like Vampire lords, were we can turn it off and on when we please, but that sort of defies the whole 'Were' bit, but we could get the blessing from the Skaal, rather than a curse, meaning we can control it.

We COULD gain power from eating corpses, but we should be able to eat alchemical ingredients, that we could normally pick up (Mushrooms, Berries etc)

What do you guys think?

I thought the way game-jam showed it was perfect...

Wolves usually walk on four legs, bears usually walk on four legs. Considering how much more muscle a bear has than a wolf, I don't think it would be too much to ask for werebears to walk on two legs as well.
