I've been wondering what everyone might be doing in preparation for the trip to Solstheim. How are you guys prepping?

I started prepping about two weeks ago. First thing i did was I went through my all my gear and finally sold all the stuff i never use as well as all the duplicates. Turned a hefty profit. Around 140,000 septims to blow in Solstheim.

I went and defeated the remaining Dragon Priests, performed the ritual and received Konahriik as well as visited the remaining Word Walls.

I went and hired Marcurio as my Housecarl to stay and make sure Lucia is alright while i'm gone.

Kharjo has been waiting patiently, he has been with me since level 9. I'm currently level 62, he goes everywhere with me and Solstheim will be no exception. I think he is excited but i don't know, cats will be cats you know...

The chest in my entryway is being used as a suitcase, it has all my gear i am prepared to embark with. I have a complete set of Ebony Armor, two changes of clothes, my essential potions and poisons, Zephyr with 250 ebony arrows, my twin Ebony axes "Inferno and Purgatorio" (Fire and Ice enchantments), some food, and The Book of the Dragonborn.

I am just waiting to find out where to catch the boat. As soon as we know where to go, me and Kharj will be there

How is everybody planning on beginning the trip to Solstheim? What are you going to bring? Are you going to take a follower? Im so curious...

I started prepping last Friday. I'm going around Skyrim buying all the Ultimate Healing potions, making a lot of steel bolts. I'm bringing my enchanted Daedric Armor, Konahrik, Dragonbone Sword enchanted with Fire and Shock enchantments, Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow enchanted with Fire and Paralysis enchantments, and I'm bringing my Strom Thrall with me.

As a PC user im not packing a thing!

My current character owns no house in Skyrim and will be moving to Solstheim for a long time. He is currently worth 25000 gold and has nothing but the dwarven armor on his back and the Dragon/Vampire Lord blood in his veins. He will sell the armor and everything else in his inventory tonight and leave tomorrow on a boat with nothing but basic black robes and the money he has. He is only level 28 so he will need to do some developing and smithing/enchanting before going to far into the main quest. He will buy a house there and truely seek to make that island his permanent home.

Imy bringing my Dawnguard gear (Light armor Dawnguard overall,boots and gauntlets and my Krosis mask, Along with my Nightengale bow and my Legendary Dwarvin Crossbow. Also a bunch of arrows/bolts and some potions and around 50k in gold)

*unpacks his stuff again*
Seems like I have to stay in Skyrim for another 30 days atleast.

I probably will just have Dragonbone Ebonsteel armor, Dragonbone weapons and a shield. A pile of potions, poisons. A follower, and some gold. Hopefully by the release of Dragonborn I'll actually have MADE the character I'm hoping to do the DLC with.

I'm cleaning up my quest log, trying to get heavy armor up so my enchanted daedric set doesn't weigh me down, deciding if I want to wear said daedric set or an enchanted ancient falmer set. Made over 2000 sunhallowed arrows. Gathered all the words and plenty of spare dragon souls. Killed ulfric stormcloak so I know my home will be safe from them. And I might move my family from proudspire to lakeview.

I'm just off to sell things, load up on potions and other things, practice some magic, and help some people out randomly. For I may be in Solsteim a while, and I'd like to leave Skyrim as safe as I can.
