Dragonborn Smithing Mechanics

Post » Tue Dec 04, 2012 3:53 pm

I haven't seen any information specifically describing the new Smithing content, and I've got some questions:

Now that we have both Light and Heavy variants on armor types, which Smithing perks will effect which?

For example, will Light Stalhrim armor be 2x improvable with the Glass Armor perk, but not Heavy Stalhrim Armor?

Or will these armor types be influinced by your overall smithing skill instead of perks?

Anyone know?

Okay I don't get it..

People have been saying, Now you have 2 Armor perks for light and heavy

We always had them...

But if you are saying, Smithing will make your Leather Armor better?

Not really, Just the protection, From what I heard

We'll find out in less than 24 hours.

I'm excited to see if/what the new materials are, and where they fit into the tree.

I hope they look boss. I've purposefully not watched any of the trailers so that I'm surprised. :D

I am guessing the Advanced armor perk will need to be unlocked. If so, that would svck for my one PC that collects everything because she did not unlock that perk (focused on the heavy armor side only) and is already at 81. :( Unless, NPCs are wearing them, then she will be happy to take them (hope they brought some clothes).
