I had to restart my game from the beginning after corrupting a saving process when it froze (My friend and I removed auto saves so we can mess around). Through my second play through, everything was mostly solid when it came to bugs and crashes but I encountered a problem in one of the side quests in Dawnguard DLC. I learnt all three words of power in Drain Vitality in my first play though in the order of when you find a 'sleeping companion' (trying not to spoil), then the one in the plains with the dragons and finally at the added territory to your map near the 'Throat of the world'. Everything was fine. After the corruption, I tried to get the words of power A.S.A.P. starting with the one near your companion. I asked the Greybeards for more words and they gave me the one in the new location. I learnt that word as the second in my new order but my quest and marker is still at the wall as if I didn't finish it. I have the second word but I can't ask the greybeards for more words and I haven't received a letter from a friend since. I don't want to put another 20hrs restarting the game again to get up to that point. Is there some way I can fix this for the xbox version?
