The Great CollapseRed Mountain?

Post » Tue Dec 04, 2012 7:22 pm

I don't know of this question has been asked already, but it just popped into my head. Does anybody think we may hear more about the great collapse and the eruption of red mountain?

I know that the eruption may not have caused the collapse, but its been said that some people think the eruption may have had effects that were only felt years later like the collapse of winterhold. I didn't play morrowind but I understand we will be seeing the dunmer who had to flee from morrowind or vvardenfall (sorry, I didn't play it), as a result of the eruption. If anyone knows exactly what happened in regards to the eruption it would be the dunmer, do you think they know definitively if red mountiain is to blame?

Well they HAVE to get into that part of the story, and in more than a cursory manner. After all, a whole culture/civilization had to flee it's homeland, and you can see the cause of it in the background on several screenshots. There has to be dialogue and quest lines that are related to that event.

Well, the eruption occurred during the events depicted in the Elder scrolls novels so perhaps the answer you seek can be found there.
