A few (still) unresolved issues

Post » Wed Dec 05, 2012 8:29 pm

Just a few little problems that I'd like to see fixed.

Dragon Infusion - Perk given by drinking a potion from Esbern after a miniquest - I play on Xbox so I can't add the perk with console commands.
Gift of the Gab - another glitched perk that is not awarded/do anything.
Archmage's Authority - Another that doesn't do anything - unless its been fixed?

Atronachs! Fire ones explode but Frost and Storm should have frost/electric explosions too! The game's been out over a year and they haven't been able to sort that?

Oh well. Have fun with the Dragonborn DLC everyone.

Dragon Infusion

Apparently still bugged. Fixed by the Unofficial Patch which does nothing to help console gamers. :(

Never heard of these, there are no such perks/powers AFAIK. Under another name perhaps?

Unless Frost and Storm atronachs were intended to explode but don't, they're not broken and so don't really need to be fixed. Personally I would find it odd if something made of ice or electricity just exploded in a big bang when it dematerialized. Fire, not so much. Even if the other two atronachs are "broken" it's not like that causes real problems with the game, it would just be eye candy if they did. Plenty of more serious problems to be sorted than that even if they don't work as intended (which IMO is doubtful to begin with). :)

Gift of the Gab and Archmage's Authority were mentioned in the Offiical Game Guide but there's apparently no coding in the game for either.

Never heard of these. How were supposed to be awarded? What were they supposed to do?

Hmmm. That suggests to me that they were removed as a design choice.

Shame.

The Bard's College really got cut back to nothing in the end. :(

Thanks for the link, I'd never noticed them in the game guide either.

There are quite a few errors in the Game Guide. Like The Archmage's Robes being two items of clothing - a separate Robe and Hood.

Arch-Mage perk is added, but hidden.

There's also a hidden perk that makes Enthir rip you off every time you barter with him.

I see frost and storm Atronach's so infrequently that I don't think it's worth 'fixing'. I don't think they were ever meant to explode though.

I would much rather see some quests fixes.
