DLC Size (quests and map)

Post » Wed Dec 05, 2012 3:14 pm

Hi. i'm really anxious and positive about Dragonborn (I don't own a Xbox)

Some comrade in another thread said there are 30+ quests on the DLC. Is this number true? Are those main quest or all kinds of DLC quests (misc objectives, side quests and main quests)?

Also, can someone link to me a image of the add-on map? I'm eager to see the new landmass of the DLC. If you can't link an image, is it big? How big compared to Skyrim/Shivering Isles?

We went off topic and we were referring to far cry 3 for about 3 posts, but it's shivering isles size from oblivion, maybe a bit smaller and theres alot of stuff to do, very worth it.

Wow, really nice!

Are there some new activities/things to do except questing? No spoilers, please! =D

As far as I remember Shivering Isles had a lot of things to do besides the quests, like the Museum of Oddities and other findings.

I have bunch of miscellaneous quests and side quests that need to be done. I still haven't discovered all the locations on the island either.

I really havent even touched the surface and i've been playing for about 12 hours. not sure about activities, there may be some. but the ammount of side quests is crazy both big ones and even lots of mini ones. probably will end up being radiant ones too. but it's a big landmass with much more well written quests etc. it feels like a real expansion after dawngaurd kinda felt like a knights of the nine type of deal. just don't expect a really long main quest, it's more about exploration and side stuff, and it's not just the new island but theres a new oblivion realm too that plays a major part and carrys on with a side quest in skyrim (not hard to guess which one if you did it lol) but it's an amazing expansion, and a morrowind lore persons crack.

I guess I'll have a heart attack by the first time I play this... Morrowind-esque locations, Morrowind music... damn!

At least I found something to do while I wait for Draognborn to release on PC & PS3 - I'll do all the daedric quests in preparation for Dragonborn heh

Also, Is there a "minimum level" requirement to trigger the quest? From what I've heard, you have to complete the Jurgen Windcaller's Horn quest.

There isn't but it's made for higher level characters, like 30 would probably be the highest unless you tried cheap stuff. at 48 it was all max rank enemies for me, deathlords etc. most challenging content so far for sure. and yeah you will get a heavy morrowind vibe. I nearly went into the shivers when I heard then saw a silt strider haha.

You can even see morrowind off the coast, sorry if this is spoling anything but it's been known from press stuff for weeks. Can't wait till this is out on pc, I got skyrim on 360 free so I kinda withdrawed and bought the dlc, but I mainly play on pc. would be epic if they could mod in morrowind down the road, or do a remake like morroblivion on the skyrim engine.

I have played for 12-14 hours already (not straight, got tired only having 2 hours sleep :)) and i just finished the Raven rock quests. I have done a bunch of little misc quests as well. All I can say is, Solstheim is such a new experience. There are things you just dont expect and things that blow you mind or things that disappoint. I have had like a 3 hour break sleeping and doing other stuff but Dragonborn is really fun. I just have to start the 3 quest into the main quest. Then the telvanni ones, then another random side quest. I hope to get a good 30 hours out of this dlc.

For a fact, I have been taking the quests slow, and it is around 20 hours content minimum. Depending on how you play, I think it could go onto 30 horus easily.

I think I've counted up something like 40 or 50 unique (marked) areas so far (not all have proper quests tied to them), plus a bunch of unmarked areas, camp sites, that kind of thing. Quests... phew, dunno, but if you count the subquests, I think there are probably close to a dozen, maybe slightly over, in RR and its immediate vicinity alone. So yeah, I could see better than 30, sure.
