Cannot fast travelwait - Vilkas bug?

Post » Fri Dec 07, 2012 5:20 am

Okay is there any solution to this problem where Vilkas is somehow pursuing me no matter where I go? Not allowing me to fast travel or wait..

I had a 2000 bounty (from a crime NOBODY saw me commit, I even killed all the animals in the area, which was already annoying!) when I first went in to join the companions and it's been all downhill from there

I've paid all my bounties, even acquired and paid new ones to try and solve it. I just started playing Skyrim on 360 after having it on PS3 last year and didn't encounter many bugs, but on the Xbox it's just ridiculous. I really don't want to have to start over, I have no saves from before the problem and wasting 40hours gameplay is not a great solution to such a stupid issue..

Is this fixed in a patch or something? I've never connected my xbox to the internet but if it stops me from having to restart then I'm sure I'll figure it out..

Any help? I can't even play at all now because the bug is so irritating.

Are you saying you are still running version 1.0?

I assume so. I bought an xbox second-hand and a copy of Skyrim. Put the disc in and started playing.. Can I even get updates without xbox live? Is there a way to get the latest patch on my xbox via USB?

You don't have to pay for updates but you need to hook up your xbox to the internet.

Just been reading about the updates I can do either by USB or if I can find a LAN cable somewhere I can go on xbox live and get the latest version..

BUT.. will the latest patch fix my problem or not? This is the question I'd like answered.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and re-roll after I get the latest update but seriously frustrates me that this stuff happens in the first place and ruins my fun by making me paranoid the game is gonna bug out all the time and waste hours upon hours of my life.. There's only so many times I can handle all the tedium.

You just have to try. it's not guaranteed to solve bugs that are embedded in your save-file. What it does is that it prevents the bug to occur, but does not recitfy the bug if it's already there.

Fair enough, I suppose that makes sense. I guess I'll try get my game updated and see what happens. At least there should be less bugs if I do end up having to restart.
