The Illusion Assassin: to dualwield or not to dualwield?

It's probably the 3rd time i'm making an assassin build, but this time i was considering the "trickster" archetype of assassin where illusion would be there to help on our infiltrate/control/escape routine. The question is, and to be honest i can't seem to decide on my own, is whether to dualwield or not. Ideally an illusion assassin would hold a dagger in one hand and have a spell readied on the other, at least that is how i see it.

Honestly i don't feel that dualwielding would benefit me any more than using illusion spells. Unless of course i am not planning on backstabbing people. The way i see it, dualwielding would give me the edge on face to face combat sure, i guess i'd kill a lot faster. On the other hand using illusion would cover up for all the times i am found or made a mistake.

In the end i think that we assassins only need one blade on our hands  So what's your playstyle and why do you think it's better than others? Your thoughts on this matter please
