I decided to try playing Skyrim from the beginning again I found now that I can't complete this quest. When I pull on the chain after drinking the torpor, the game crashes any time I try to save after that. I might try and disable the autosave and try saving manually after the quest is over and I leave the building but right now I'm stuck.
