ElderScrolls Online will BOMB like The Old Republic

This entire game is just setting itself up for disaster. Their first mistake was using the same game engine that was in TOR, that game engine is pathetic and the graphics are not even that impressive, Elder Scrolls Oblivion on high settings looks better. Then the Devs make up some excuses on why this game can't look like Skyrim. I bet there will not even be a first person view you can play or even look at the world in.

They have also cut off the world from the player, you can't enter opposing factions territory and open world pvp is all limited to Cryodiil. I know the war is focused on Cyrodiil since the factions are fighting for control of the Empire but still, limiting all pvp to one province is a big mistake! I can see it now, the rest of the world would be almost empty while over half would be doing pvp in Cyrodiil. Also their server technology, "Mega Server" with all players on one server, what is up with that? What if the game is sort of successful in the beginning, how are they going to fit 50,000 players online all at once in one server? The game world would also have to be really large.

So I can't wait for this game to be released so I can see it die within a year, What I really hoped for was a true Elder Scrolls MMO, not one like this with a crap game engine and so many restrictions. I wanted to see a game with Skyrims graphics engine, I guess I will have to wait for the Skyrim online mod to be finished. Hopefully they can incorporate other mods so the world can be bigger while having 2000 in one server but that is a long way off.

you don't have a clue about what you type do you? First off your wrong about them using the hero engine, they used it years ago when the game was in early development for demoing and testing; while they developed their own engine that looks amazing.

Just the fact you haven't seen any video of the game in which you would know such simple things. makes me think your just a troll

*Cracks knuckles*

This entire game is just setting itself up for disaster. Their first mistake was using the same game engine that was in TOR, that game engine is pathetic and the graphics are not even that impressive, Elder Scrolls Oblivion on high settings looks better. Then the Devs make up some excuses on why this game can't look like Skyrim. I bet there will not even be a first person view you can play or even look at the world in.

They used the Hero engine (TOR engine) for their very basic stage. After that, they started from their own, SELF-created game engine which looks A LOT better. Onto the next allegation!

So would the world be too empty? Or too crowded? Make up your mind pal. - First of all, we don't know too much about access to opposing factions just yet so I won't speak for that. Mega Servers will make it so everyone is on the same server yes, and you can play with EVERYONE you know IRL or from other games. No more, "Oh, gotta create a new character on your server." You can just hop right in with them. They will be instancing the world into several overflows (instancing zones) so areas won't be over-crowded. And the game is VERY large. It's bigger than Skyrim which takes around five hours to walk fully across.

Okay bro. Have fun. I'll see you in-game, seeing as I'm guessing you'll be playing it.
