Things You Miss That Aren't In Skyrim?

Post » Mon Dec 10, 2012 5:21 am

Simple question. Anything you miss that aren't in Skyrim? Note: It can be anything that has been in past TES games and currently are not in Skyrim.

As for me. I got a few.

Chrysamere from Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind. (My personal favorite sword).

Spellcasting from Oblivion. (Don't get me wrong here. I like Skyrim's spellcasting but I would like to have some special spells that can be equipped on the "Shout button". Like healing spells for example. I hate having to put my weapon away just to heal myself quickly. It annoys me...). Like seriously Beth. Can't ye' add a special lesser power at least that takes magicka and heals you?

Adoring Fan from Oblivion. (Who doesn't want to Fus Ro Dah him off a mountain?)

That is all for now.

I agree with all of these have not even played morrowind buy chrysamere seems awesome,

a few of mine
1) 4j studios porting been a while since I have been able to play a Bethesda game without many freezes and horrible fps loss
2) spellmaking I loved spending hours to make the perfect spell actualy made me feel like a Mage experimenting and studying spells
3) longer quests I really think the guild quests are way too short and feel rushed
that's it for now

The music from Oblivion.

The size of the cities in Oblivion and the amount of NPCs they had.

I wish there were bookstores in Skyrim so I wouldn't have to constantly run around the province in search of I don't know how many.

Would have been cool to see another Arena, but it's not something I necessarily miss.

That's all I can think of.

I personally miss the music from Morrowind but I heard they added more music from Morrowind in the Dragonborn DLC.

Being called an Outlander (though Dragonborn kinda brought that back now eh?). XD

Using staves as weapons.

A lot of NPCs.

And the Almsivi... (not like they can return or anything... eh, maybe Vivec... who knows where he is anyhow...)

1. Attributes and actual classes as well.

2. Guilds where you had ranks, the guilds of Skyrim are a joke.

3. The arena, one of my favorite parts of Oblivion

4. Spellmaking

Just a list of things I miss from Oblivion, hard to miss things from a game you have never played, so nothing from Morrowind.

I agree and disagree. I miss the ranks but I don't think Skyrim's guilds are that bad. (Maybe Companions). I did really like TG, DBH, and College.

I agree. I think Skyrim's College of Winterhold is a more interesting quest line than Oblivion's Mages Guild. I also think Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood is more interesting than Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood. The only comparison where Skyrim fails badly (and it's mostly due to length, not quality) is the Companions/Fighters Guild comparison.

I meant how they are organized, like how you go from newbie to guildmaster with no ranks in between. I didn't think the actual content was that bad.

Hmmm; not 100% sure they say the exact quote (they might) but I've definitly been called an Outlander a number of times at Raven Rock by them. XD

An arena/gladiator questline similar to the one in Oblivion would have been nice.
