Got a cold, wierd hard white spot in throat?

Post » Tue Dec 11, 2012 4:57 am

So I got a cold one or two days ago, mild fever, not much of an appetite, stuffed/very runny nose, watery eyes, mild sore throat.

So like yesterday or the day before I started noticing what felt like a small piece of food or something touching my tounge, now I just looked in the mirror and saw what looks like a cluster of three small white dots, I can't cough them out, and they are too hard and my gag-reflexes are too sensitive to scratch off, do you know what they are?

I had something like that 5 years ago. I just gargled some warm salt water for a day or 2 and it went away.

that's called pus. It's normal when your throat is inflamated.

I'll try that, the cold didn't seem severe enough to do that before.

Huh, it's been a while since we've gotten to play doctor here. My professional medical opinion is to see a doctor.

In my language it's called pustumetti, so I guess 'pus' like joaosimpson told you is right. I used to have them regularly (weekly) in the past, and now I get them monthly. Annoying, but they will go away. Gargle water + salt, or ask your pharmacist for some gargling liquid thing.
