I've read a bunch of stuff about the quest to be able to craft stalhrim armor and everything says I need to talk to Deor Woodcutter. Problem is, Deor died when the Lurker attacked. Is there anything I can do to still be able to craft stalhrim stuff?

Talk to the Skaal leader, she would be the only other one.

Edit: if that doesn't work, you would either have to reload a previous save and don't let Deor get killed, or explore, explore, explore to find it. I can't really describe where it is, and you really would be better off getting the questline anyway.
