So I go to Ivarstead to begin my trek up to High Hrothgar and in town I hear a dragon. I fight the dragon in town and no sooner than I kill it that I hear another dragon (blood). I do my best to get the thing out of town by going up the mountain while popping arrows off at it. I kill it in the air and it crashes into the mountain. A few hundred feet along the trail and another dragon (frost). At this point I'm very thankful for my enchanted gear and stockpile of health potions. I bring the third dragon out of the sky and svck down its soul.

Three dragons in a row, wow I kick ass. Wait what was that sound? A fourth dragon, are you frakking serious. I bring this one down with Dragonrend because there's room for it to land and then its friend, a fifth dragon (frost), (that I didn't notice) blasts me with flames from behind. Kill cam with Wuuthraad (enchanted) on dragon four, Dragonreand dragon five, drink plentiful health potions, kill fifth dragon.

At this point I'm thinking, ok my game was glitched out but I survived five dragons without lowering the difficulty so not bad for a Dragonborn's day at work. Then I heard them, two more dragons (both frost). I fought a running battle to High Hrothgar and killed one of the beasts with a crit shot from my Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow, named Crucifier (Fiery Souls and Shock). I got to right outside HH and the second dragon landed and I smacked him in the head with Wuuthraad a few times, he scored a crit on me so I ran up into the doorway and used Crucifier on him.

Seven thousand steps and seven dragons later I was chilling with the Greybeards drinking all my mead to wash down the souls.

I have no idea what triggered the glitch(?) I'm on 360 and I'm post Main Quest. I'm guessing those random encounters weren't all supposed to be dragons. Oh there weren't any wolves, bears, ice wraiths, or trolls on the trail either. I made the trek twice more just to see if it happened again but the game seems like it's back to normal. Oh and Paarthy is alive.
