Which side of the smithing tree?

Post » Thu Dec 13, 2012 1:07 am

A while ago (before Dragonborn) I decided to make a Dunmer female go up the light armour side of the smithing tree so she could get the bonus when she got some heavy Falmer armour. Now there's Bonemould and heavy Chitin (with no shield though, damn it) and carved Nordic too - so it makes more sense than ever to do this if you like the look of those armours.

I'm now wondering if anyone is putting perks in light armour but going up the heavy armour side of the tree because they like Stahlrim so much?

I may decide to work towards my heavy armor perks because of stahlrim but as for now I pretty much have all the others covered.

Considering now you can respec your skill points, i would suggest going up both, if you have the points to spare. You can then make all the armor you want to make and then remove the points from your smithing completely and spend them on some helpful combat skill tree's. This is what im doing at the moment anyway

I don't really like the look of regular armor at all (vanilla game and dlc). So i just use unique armor and clothes.
