Gene Doping..Ethical or not?

Post » Fri Dec 14, 2012 3:16 am

So I was reading an article on Gene Doping today that had to do with the new "Bourne Movie" and according to the article the idea of genetic enhancements isn't so far fetched. Do you think it would be ethical for science to try and mess with the human genome or not? http://www.wired.com/underwire/2012/08/bourne-legacy-gene-doping/ Here is the article it is a pretty interesting read. Coming from a military background I would support it because if it pays off it could help wounded soldiers recover from injury and not to mention make a bunch of juggernauts!

The Ethics comes from the intent behind the Gene manipulation. Gene manipulation is not good or bad in and of itself. What scares me are the unintended consequences even from the folks who have the best intentions.
