Ages ago I had a character who couldn't become Thane simply because I didn't ask for it at the same time as I bought Honeyside - now I've just done the Skooma quests and she won't even say anything about me buying property, let alone becoming thane!

If they allowed your spouse to take up residence in the property in the new DLC I wouldn't care but Riften is the next closest place to Morrowind so I need to make my home there!
