Getting Hearthfire Changes What?

400 MS Points ($5) isn't really that bad for features that I absolutely would love to have in my Skyrim game.

But what exactly does it add? Any new quests? How much are houses? Where are the land plots at, and can we get all of them? What are the houses functions, and who all lives there, and can we decide who lives there? Should I save my current gold to buy a house, or buy Breezehome? Does the DLC affect anything at all, or add to it? In other words, will it remove things from the vanilla version of the game?

While I'm here, people say "money comes out of the walls on Skyrim" but I've always seemed to have financial troubles in the game. Do people get most money from dungeon-driving?

It's just a house...but what a house! It has everything! It costs 5000 gold for a plot of land in the Falkreath area. You start out with a cottage build a great hall on the end of it and then you have to decide what you want. You can build an armory or a kitchen on one end, a storage area or enchanting tower on another, a bedroom, alchemy or greenhouse on the other end. The basemant is a full smithy. You can marry, adopt kids get a steward, a man at arms and a bard.

I've never had a problem with gold. Just sell every dragon bone and scale and all gems you find. My altmer has found a pretty good living at selling fine enchanted items for a good amount of gold. My imperial makes good money at selling fine armor and weapons he smiths at his own smithy...
