I've had no problems playing as my Warrior build in Skyrim, but recently I've ran into a few adversaries that have made me die many a time. Bloody mages... The two most annoying things about them are...

1. Wards block Shouts. Seriously what the hell!? The Thu'um is supposed to be the utterly raw power of the dragons, but a lowly mage can just stick his hand out and the Shout has no effect!? I'm sorry, but when I think about the unlimited power of the dragon-soul Dragonborn of legend becoming useless against a Lesser Mage's Ward!

2. Ice. My GOD one hit with an Ice Spike, and all 240 Stamina is gone! I have the perk for Block that negates 50% of elemental damage, and my Shield is enchanted to block a further 25% of frost damage, yet my Stamina instantly gets destroyed. But the most annoying thing about Ice Mage's is the dfact that their spells slow you down so I have no stamina, my enchantments are apparently of no use and now I'm just a bloody practise target moving at a snail's pace.

Makes me sad

1. The Thu'um is just another form of magic, which wards defend against. I find it funny when there is a swarm of bandits all changing at me and I blast them all off of a cliff and the only one left standing is a low level caster.

2. Yes ice is the worst for warriors, I find getting some magic resist AND frost resist helps a lot, I use the lord stone. Use the slow time shout as well makes dodging the spell so much easier. After this they weren't as bad... Still annoying though.

Yep, as a mage myself I agree that Ice spells destroy melee users, and even dragons. Whenever I come up against a large group of warriors all I need to do is use Ice Storm and they crawl to a haltb then I just Wall of Flames to death, they can't do jack. Dragons are even more funny because they end up flying in slow motion, you just have to take aim and hit lol.

Man, I love being a mage.
