Two questions.

* As for the first question...

I am trying to set my games FOV to 85 through means of the games INI files. I searched online and many recommend to add "fdefaultfov=85" ( The number can differ of course. ) to add it under the General section of either the Skyrim.ini or the SkyrimPrefs.ini, while some even recommend to add it to both ini files. But it does not seem to work, also i some how seem to remember that there where more lines involved to set your FOV through the ini files, but for the love of god i just can not remember what to do to get this to work? And yes i know i can set the FOV by means of the console, but that means i have to do it every time i first start up Skyrim, and i want it to be done automatically. ( Hey why not. :smile: )

* And now the second question...

I know about the tool DDSOpt, but i some how do not like the way it works. And i once downloaded a tool from the Nexus that could optimize both DDS and Nif while automaticall using the correct settings for these files. Now i only used it to optimize all the textures i was using at that time, and i left the Nifs alone since i did not want to mess with those. ( I still do not want to. :smile: ) But i can not remember the name of that tool any more, so i am hoping some one knows which tool i am talking about. ( Albeit that it is a very vague description of the tool. )

1. I have the following lines added to Skyrim.ini in the [Display] section and it works.

fDefaultWorldFOV=90fDefault1stPersonFOV=90.0000

2. Perhaps you are referring to http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13529/? There's also one called http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12801, though that one only works with textures.

I can answer the first question.

add to Skyrim.ini

[Display}

fDefaultWorldFOV=

You must initiate the menu, (either skills or map) for it to take effect for the first time.
