Torch lighting bug

Post » Sun Dec 16, 2012 8:53 am

Ok, for some reason, if an NPC equips a torch, the torch illuminates everything EXCEPT the underlying ground. But if I equip a torch, everything is fine.

I have a video of the problem on youtube, but since this is my first post, i cant post the whole link.

At first I though it was a mod problem, so I removed my mods. Still didn't solve it. Next, I thought it was a .INI problem. I had been tweaking the files to fix the shadowing in the game, so i deleted them, and let the game generate new ones, to no avail. I even uninstalled the game, deleted the skyrim sub folder, in the Steam parent folder. Still no use.

The only time I've encountered this problem in the past, was when I had too many mods installed. I usually just removed mods, or just re installed the game, and the problem would be solved. But this time it didn't solve it

Im running a Asus G74Sx, below are my specs...

Precessor: Intel? Core? i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz
Installed Memory: 16.0 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 560m 2GB
Graphics Driver: Version 310.70

Please, any help would be great. I just wanna be able to play without any annoyances.
