Extra Stones of Barenziah

I have found some interesting things about the Stones of Barenziah. I haven't seen a thread about this unintended effect that leftover Stones can have.

For those that don't know, it is possible to finish the quest 'No Stone Unturned' without physically finding all 24 Stones simply by mashing the 'Activate' button when looking at one after they are identified by Vex. This will cause you to only pick up one, but the count can register up to 6. Well, 6 was the highest I managed off a single Stone. This is useful for characters that want to finish the quest, but don't want to go the the pain in the ass of going to every location, and being forced to join the College to get the final one. Some people have said that the shout 'Slow Time' is needed, but it really isn't required.

What is very intersting is what occurs with the ones that are left after doing this glitch. The extras do not get automatically cleaned up from the world. They keep the 'Stone of Barenziah' name, and can still be picked up. After the quest their quest tag is removed, so they can also be dropped. When dropped, they float and seem to be locked in place. This means you can't really use them for a decoration, but I would guess they could be used as platforms to get over city walls and such. I'd imagine you could get quite high into the air, depending on how many you manage to leave behind. If 6 per Stone is the max, then it would be 19 leftover Stones (1+6+6+6+5. You can only ever get 1 on the first one due to not having them identified yet.)
