I've been hearing a lot about Scuf controllers and I was wondering if it'd be worth the $45+ to have it done. The only FPS games I really play these days are Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but I assume it'd work for other games as well.

Also, what exactly is a Scuf controller? I know it's supposed to make the controller better/easier to use, but how?

A SCUF controller is a specially made controller designed for professional gaming and has many modifications to improve the reaction speed and responsiveness of the controller itself. It is meant more for MLG style matches, Usually CoD or Halo. The fallout games would not really benefit from a SCUF controller because the combat is not nearly as fast-paced as CoD or Halo. The differences in responsiveness between SCUF and regular controllers are milliseconds, and the controllers can cost upwards of 200 USD for one. Unless you are a really hardcoe CoD player, getting one is not optimal.

Or be cool and mod your controller yourself, saving yourself a wad of cash, apparently.
